She was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 67 years, Nels.She was born on June 25, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio. and raised in Cleveland. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Hilda Ott.Jackie was a secretary at Allegheny College in Meadville PA. But first and foremost, she was a wife and mother. An accomplished baker, she often hosted social gatherings on the family's iconic front porch. After her retirement, Jackie and her husband, Nels, moved to York to be close to his daughter, Kris and her family.She is survived by two daughters, Kris O'Shea and her husband, Tom, of York and Jill Case and her husband, Bryan, of Tacoma, WA; and four grandchildren, Kelly O'Shea, Molly O'Shea Norton, Brian O'Shea and Brenden Wygant. She also has six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Gierke of Willoughby Hills, OH. A celebration of Jackie's life will be held at Covenant Moravian Church, 901 Cape Horn Rd, York, on Friday, June 30 at 11 a.m. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 E. Market St., York, is assisting with arrangements. Jackie was a spirited, adventurous woman who was loved by many for her caring, generous ways.
