A Beloved Mother and A Woman Of Faith!

Our mom Jacqueline Rigaud, beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated church member, passed away on November 15, 2023. She was born on March 3, 1937, to Elie and Marthe Desrosiers in Port au Prince, Haiti. Mom is the 3rd child of 10. Her siblings are Immacula, Rosanna, Gregorie, Antonio, Cecile, Roger, Bernadette, Rose Marie, and her twin brother named Jacque. Throughout her rich and fulfilling life, Jacqueline touched the hearts of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and resilience.

Jacqueline attended Port Au Prince High School and graduated in 1955. Her loving parents enrolled her into a seamstress program at a Fashion School, where her best friend Maryse was ranked #1 and mom was ranked #2, highly skilled seamstress who shared her love of creating new things and sharing with family and friends. Very capable of creating and designing without using patterns, but studying and creating a new technique to achieve her artistic goals. Upon entering the United States on a sponsorship, she remembered her family, and extended family in Haiti by providing for their needs on a monthly basis for decades. As well as assisting family members to relocate to the United States to start new lives that afforded them opportunities. Equipped with a strong education, she went on to work as a Seamstress and Home Health Aide, providing invaluable assistance and care to those in need. She was known for her selflessness and dedication in making a positive difference in the lives of others.

In addition to her career, Jacqueline was an active member of her church organization. Her faith was a central part of her life, and she took great pleasure in actively participating in various Christian activities. Her commitment to her spiritual beliefs was mirrored in her everyday life, as she showed kindness, compassion, and understanding to everyone around her. Strong faith in Jesus Christ and praying that all her children would follow Him. Jacqueline is survived by her loving children: Maria Guerty Rigaud, Shirley Rigaud, Gaby Rigaud, Patrick Rigaud, Ricardo Rigaud, Maurice Rigaud, and Maryse Rigaud. She adored each of her children and found immense joy in nurturing and guiding them throughout their lives.

As a devoted grandmother, Jacqueline held a special place in the hearts of her nine plus grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating beautiful memories and imparting valuable life lessons. Their lives have been forever enriched by her presence. On November 15, 2023, Jacqueline Rigaud died due to heart congestive failure. Her departure has left a void in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her tireless efforts in helping others, and her genuine kindness that touched countless lives.

Our beloved mom Jacqueline Rigaud, also affectionately known as Dedette and Dede, will forever be missed and will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege to know her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
