It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jalena White, who left this world on July 22, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois. Born on January 17, 2003, Jalena was the beloved daughter of Willie White and Halena Graves.

Jalena leaves behind her partner, Maria Jose, and their son Sylas Ortiz. Jalena studied at Rowe Clark Math and Science Academy High School and graduated in 2022.

Jalena had a vivacious personality and a love for life. She enjoyed singing, dancing, eating, solving puzzles, relaxing, and going on walks. Her laughter was infectious, and her smile could light up a room.

Unfortunately, Jalena's trusting nature led to her untimely demise. She famously said, "I died from trying to trust niggas," a sentiment that many of us can relate to in today's world.

Jalena will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace, Jalena.
