To my Big Brotha Jay, Though you're no longer with us in body, your spirit will forever resonate in our hearts. We are profoundly grateful for the time we shared and the joy you brought into our lives. You were a remarkable person who lived life to the fullest and selflessly gave back to others. Your impact on those around you is immeasurable, and I know you touched countless lives with your kindness. You will always be remembered for your warm smile and the wisdom you imparted. It feels so unfair that you were taken far too soon, but I find comfort in knowing you are now our guardian angel. If I had the chance to relive it all, I would choose you as my brother every single time. Your legacy of love and laughter will live on in us always. Love you Big Brotha.

To my brother Jay. You have ALWAYS been a brother and not an In-Law. You’ve ALWAYS looked out for me when I needed you. Your heart was so pure and genuine. Anytime you introduced me you ALWAYS said “this is my baby sister”. You always made sure you kept my grass cut for me cause you would tell me “ I don’t want you to have to worry about that”. You looked out for my kids and made sure they were safe and straight. When I needed you to pick up your nephew, you did it, no questions asked. I know you’re in a better place and you’re no longer suffering but you are truly going to be missed. I’m glad that the last time we saw each other we said we loved each other before parting ways. It was an honor to have had you in my life and it was a greater honor to have you as my Big Brother.

A gentle soul, a heart of gold, James, your memory, forever to hold. Though your time with us, has come to an end, Your love, your laughter, will forever transcend. Your passing leaves, a gaping space, A sorrow that echoes, a hollow place. Yet even in death, your spirit remains, A guiding light, that soothes our pains. We'll remember your smile, your kindness too, The way you touched hearts, and saw things through. Your legacy lives, a treasure to share, James, your memory, beyond compare. Rest now, dear James, may your soul be free, May your love and light, forever shine on. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten, James, your memory, our hearts will always keep. Rest in Love! -Trina

J Cool, my dad always wanted two things from me: to be better than him and to achieve greater heights than I already had. To respect his wishes, I know he would want me to move past this and work even harder as a result. Enough about me, though. My dad was always the coolest person I'd ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was diligent, always getting that bag for our family, even if he was hurting or sick. When I was around him, he was stoic, never letting me see his pain while finding ways to make me laugh or have fun. There was never a dull moment with him. He was responsible and caring, ensuring that Mom and I never went hungry. Last but not least, he was strong, tough, and never backed down from a fight. He was the best dad I could have ever asked for.
