Our beloved father, brother , grandfather , and dear friend, James R gallegos , age 86 , of Las Cruces entered eternal life on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Mountain View Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born august 31st, 1936, in las cruces nm, to Maria Rodriguez and Felipe gallegos . James was a homemaker and a devout member of the Roman Catholic Church. 

Survivors include his two sons, Jesse gallegos , and George gallegos (Veronica) all of Carlsbad, NM; his parents, Felipe, and Maria gallegos of Las Cruces; and 4 sisters, Rosa gallegos (Mike Esparza) and Edith gallegos all of Las Cruces; Olga Bustillos (Abraham) of Roswell, and Veronica Montoya of Cover City, CA; 4 grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his loving wife , arlene gallegos. 

The Prayer Vigil is scheduled at 2:30 PM on August 31st, at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church,2280 Calle principal mesilla nm, 88046 where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated.
