James Cyrus was born on born on May 13, 1944, he was the only child of Velma and L.C. Cyrus. He entered into eternal rest on March 12, 2021.

He was gentle a soul who never met a stranger. A humble and kind man of intregrity, James overcame many obstacles in his lifetime. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and started several businesses over his lifetime. He didn't believe in failure, his moto was "the only way to fail is to give up". He loved spending time outdoors with his family. James began serving the lord at the young age of 6.

When he met his wife Gloria he said it was "love at first sight". James and Gloria were married in September 2013. Though James never fathered any biological children, he felt blessed to be dad to Gloria's 2 sons Damien and Montreal. They had a special bond that he cherised.

James was preceeded in death by his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Gloria, his sons Montreal Hudson, and Damien Hudson-Powell (Stephanie), his 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, and host of other family.
