James Boltz, 75, of Myerstown, Pennsylvania, passed on February 13, 2023. James was born on February 19, 1948.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Slick was employed at Fargo Assembly, Richland, for 10 years, and worked part time at Manheim Auto Auction for two years. He was a member of the Rescue Fire Co. No. 1, Mt. Aetna, Goodwill Fire Co., Myerstown, Rehrersburg Fire Co., Bethel Fire Co., Mt. Zion Fire Co., VFW Post 6076, Myerstown, Strausstown Field & Stream, Fredericksburg Legion, and was a past member of the Navy Club, Lebanon. Slick enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, watching country westerns, listening to country music, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.
He is survived by a son, Brad, husband of Linda Boltz, of Newmanstown; daughters, Sherry Haldeman, of Lebanon, Michelle Hammer, of Myerstown; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Evonne Clark, of Mt. Gretna; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Boltz, and a niece.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 16th, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown Interment with military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
