We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of James Smith, who was born on March 20, 1930, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, United States. He peacefully passed away on October 29, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

James was the beloved son of James and Mona Smith. In 1955, he married the love of his life, Ellestine Smith, with whom he shared a beautiful life together. They were blessed with two children, Deborah Martin (married to Robert Martin) and Sherry Pearson (married to Alan Pearson).

James was a devoted family man and a proud grandfather of four grandchildren, Dustin and Candace Pearson, Jason and Janie Martin, Britlan Pearson, and Alyssa Martin. And seven Great Grandchildren who lit up his world in his later days. He served his country with honor in the Army and was known for his dedication and commitment to his community.

James had a passion for wood working, trains, and fixing clocks. He enjoyed spending his free time pursuing these hobbies and sharing his knowledge and skills with others.

James Smith will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
