Born on July 28th, 1961, James lived a life marked by Faith, dedication, hard work and a commitment to his community. A fixture in the community, James will forever be celebrated as A Master Milliner-Hatter Specialist with over 40 years of experience, serving Albuquerque and its surrounding areas. James was on the cusp of his ultimate dream: permanently opening his Hat shop, Romero Sombreros, in God's Country, Ruidoso, New Mexico. It was there, in Ruidoso, that James found peace and felt closest to our Lord. To James, this wasn't just a business venture, it was a labor of love, a testament to his relentless hard work and unyielding determination. It was more than a place of commerce, it was a hub where James built lasting connections, offering not only his expertise but also a welcoming smile and captivating stories.

His unwavering belief in the Lord was evident in every aspect of his life, from his active involvement in the church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, to his daily acts of service and devotion. Including his heartfelt contributions to causes like ‘Koats for Kids.'

He leaves behind a rich legacy of faith, service, craftsmanship, perseverance, and passion. He taught us the importance of pursuing our dreams and serving others with integrity.
