HANOVER James Arlington Sanders died on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del. He was born on June 26, 1949 in Rochester, N.Y., son of the late Edward Joseph and Mary Etta (Durbin) Sanders. He served in the United States Marine Corp in Vietnam and received several commendations and a
Purple Heart. Upon discharge from the Marines, Jim worked in a variety of industries until forming a real estate title search business with his wife Margaret in York. Jim participated in a variety of living history groups, interpreting many different time periods. He acted in a long list of films produced for Public Television. He welcomed the opportunity to share his love of history with local school districts and various community organizations. In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 10 years Margaret Ann Sanders of York. Jim is survived by his step-daughters, Margaret Lowe of Hanover, Catherine Andersen and her husband Michael of Milwaukee, Wis., and Juliette Lowe of San Bernardino, Calif.; sisters, Sharon Seifert and her husband Richard of Milton, Del., and Elizabeth Darnell and her husband Jerry of Riverdale, Md.; nieces, Krista Seifert and Angela Darnell; nephews, Eric Seifert and Charles Darnell; great-nephews, Regan and Divin Andersen. Interment will be at 1 PM, Friday in the family plot at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, Md. Friends may visit with family at O'Lordans Irish Pub in Westminster, Md., from 2 to 4 p.m. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, Del.
