James Brooks, beloved son of the late Lonnie Chilsom and surviving mother Emily Brooks, passed away on June 1, 2024, in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States. He was born on January 7, 1985.

James leaves behind three siblings Tondalay,Tawanda and Allen Brooks he also leaves 5 nephews Leval and Lonnie Wiggins Marvin, Avery, Andrew and Aaron Brooks 3 nieces Quainsha, Brittany and Destiny Wiggins he also leaves 6 great nephews and 3 great nieces. 2 brother-in-law Earl McCord and the late Lavel wigging known as Big Bonnie a name James gave him. James had a zest for life and a passion for spending time with his family and friends. He attended Henry Sydney High School, where he excelled academically and made lifelong friendships.

Although James did not have children of his own, he had a special place in the hearts of his nieces and nephews, who cherished the time they spent with their fun-loving uncle.

James will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his love of good food, and his generous spirit. He brought joy to all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
