It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Bryant on April 1, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He was born on November 18, 1947, to Jessie James Bryant and Mattie B Williams.

James was a devoted father to his 10 children: Malcolm Bryant, Anita Bryant, Lela Bryant, Tony Bryant, Mattie Bryant, Travonette Hicks, Trashanta Hicks, Zestiny Welch, Laysha Wells, and Tiffany & Tori Lewis. He was also a loving grandfather to 10 grandchildren.

James attended Eliza Miller High School and graduated in 1967. He went on to work at Cab Service Company, where he dedicated his time and talents. James also served his country in the USA and achieved the rank of PFC.

James will be remembered for his kind heart, his unwavering dedication to his family, and his willingness to always lend a helping hand. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
