James "Jim" C. CreeksZANESVILLE: James "Jim" C. Creeks, 63, of Zanesville, passed away Friiday, November 16, 2012 after a long illness surrounded by family and friends. He was born on November 23, 1948 in Zanesville to Carl and Eva (Jewett) Creeks. He was a graduate of Maysville High School. He served in the United States
Army during the
Vietnam War. He was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for area strip mines. His last job was as a heavy equipment operator at a landfill. He liked to work on lawn mowers and farm tractors. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and college football.He is survived by his parents Carl and Eva (Jewett) Creeks of Zanesville; two children Stacey (Mike) Tanner of Marshallville, Ohio and Brad (Angel) Creeks of Zanesville; three sisters Irene (Ronald) Smith, Susan Creeks, and Peggy (Howard) Anderson; four grandchildren Ty Tanner, Clay, Hawke, and Colt Creeks; ten step-grandchildren Hannah and Jayden Spencer, Aaron, Austin, and Dakota Scott, Lacey, T.J., James, Eli, and Amber Ross.Special friend Sharon Scott; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Rae (Black) Creeks.Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the funeral home. Rev. Webster Cox officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Union Cemetery where Zanesville
