James C. HoustonClintonJames Comer Houston died on Sunday, July 16, 2017.He was born on October 14, 1930 in Troy, AL. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He graduated from Troy State Teachers College and received his BA in business administration. After 40 years of employment with Associates Commercial Corp. he retired as District Manager. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Clinton, MS.He was preceded by death by his son, James D. (Jim) Houston; parents, Comer Houston and Emma Lou Renfroe. He is survived by his wife, Ruth L Houston; half-brother, Jerry Renfroe and half-sister, Jean Bentley of Montgomery, AL; three nieces, Sharon Lott (Calvin), Becky Davis (Herby) of Troy, AL, Tamra Honocker (Steve) of Fitzpatrick, AL; one nephew, Shane Law (Monica) of Abberville, AL; daughter, Debbie Horn (James) of Clinton, MS.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson, MS with visitation one hour prior.
