Moeller, James C.James C. Moeller, of Hortonville, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 as a result of an unexpected medical condition. Jim was born on May 21, 1937 to Gerhardt and Lydia (Miller) Moeller. During his lifetime Jim was a jockey,
Army veteran, and a millwright with a long career at Azco Hennes, where he specialized in movement of large equipment. After his retirement, he was a farmer, hay sharecropper, and had a shop where his millwright skills were in high demand. Jim had frequent shots of blackberry brandy with his family and was known to frequent the local watering holes, where he was sought out for colorful stories of his many lifetime adventures.Jim is survived by his 4 daughters, Jodi (Doug Green), Deborah Phillips, Sonya (Brain Douglas) and Julie (Richard Quella); 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barb (Dave Rehme) and Elaine Buss; brothers, Duane (Marj), Norman, Jerry (Sandy), Bill (Judy) and Bob; sister-in-law, Marge; adopted brother, Charlie (Elaine) Miller and special friend, Denise Vance. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is further survived by more friends than 10 normal people would have!Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kathy; brother, DeLou and sister and brother-inlaw, Lucy and Chuck Lautenschlager.A Memorial Service for Jim will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Borchardt Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Visitation will take place from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at Appleton Medical Center for the excellent care and support.
