James "Jim" C. Schrock James C. Schrock "Jim", age 87, of Akron, Ohio, died on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 2:52 p.m. at his home.He was born on January 29, 1929 in Meyersdale, Pa., the son of the late Nevin and Ida Phillippi Schrock. Jim was an honorably discharged U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He worked for Goodyear Aerospace for over 31 years as an electrical engineer. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing.Survivors include his two daughters, Cheryl (Donald) Wright and Sally (Steve) McBride; his grandchildren, James Morris, Heather (Mark) Harris, Brooke Battle, and Anthony Battle; his four great-grandchildren, CJ Neel, Brian Fox, Maisey Morris, and Addison Morris; and his siblings, Ida Schrader, Margie Brocht, and Nevin Schrock. Other than his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, the former Doris "Dottie" Greening; and eight siblings.Cremation has taken place and a military memorial service will be held in the spring.
