Brother James Cooper Jr., 58, of Plano, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2023 at The Remington Transitional Care Facility. He was born on February 10, 1965 to the late Pastor James Sr. & First Lady Imogene Cooper in Denton,Tx, where he was raised with his brothers and cousins.
He attended school in the Denton Independent School District where he excelled in football.
He accepted Christ at an early age and became a minister at just 15 yrs old under the leadership of the late S. E. Mitchell. He was also involved with the music ministry as a member of the Gospelaires singing group and he played the drums for the Collegaite Chior.
He later met and married Yvette Butler and they relocated to Dallas to raise their two boys. He was a devoted husband and father and worked as a paraprofessional for many years in the Richardson Independent School District. He also worked as a security guard for Securitas for more than 10 years. Later after relocating to Plano he was forced to retire early due to health issues.
He was preceded in death by his dear parents, brothers : Warren Dewayne Ebron and Kelvin Lamar Wallace; nephew, Sir Reginald Hunter He leaves behind to cherish in his memory his wife of 30 years, Yvette Butler Cooper; sons, Christian Cooper and Chad Cooper; brother, Alford Cooper (Juanita ) Houston,Tx. sister in law(Margret Ebron) Aubrey, Tx. and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
