James I. Coots, Sr. 1941 - 2016James I. Coots, Sr., 74, of Burlington, Wis., (Wheatland Township) died Saturday morning Jan. 2, 2016, at the Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington. James Isom Coots was born on Jan. 14, 1941, in Hazard, Ky., the son of the late Roy and Callie Dillion Coots. On Nov. 18, 1982, in Salem United Methodist Church in Salem, Wis., James was united in marriage to Sharon Schroeder.James served as a Sp4 in the U.S. Army. He worked as a roll splitter for the Badger Cork Company in Trevor, Wis., for 18 years. He enjoyed fishing, wood crafting and tinkering on cars.James is survived by: his wife, Sharon; four children-Robin (James) Butera of Salem, Wis., James I. (Cindy) Coots, Jr. of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., Richard A. (Christina) Coots of Camp Lake, Wis., and Harold R. (Angela) Coots of Kenosha, Wis.; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one brother, Roger Coots of Danville, Ill.James was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Lee Coots, Sr., and two sisters, Rosa Valdez and Louverne Simonson.Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory. Inurnment will be at a later date in So. WI Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
