James Driskell Jr Obituary

Jan 25, 1953 - Nov 21, 2024

This obituary is administered by:

James Driskell Jr., 62, of Oklahoma passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024. Born on January 25, 1962, James was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother whose life touched the hearts of many. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and strength.

James proudly served in the United States Navy, where he dedicated several years of his life to defending his country and building lifelong friendships. His commitment to service extended beyond the military, as he was always quick to lend a hand to those in need. He had a deep sense of responsibility and pride, traits that he passed on to his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tuwallame Chatman Driskell, with whom he shared a wonderful life for many years. Together, they raised three daughters: Kutansha Driskell, Kenisha Driskell, and Tulynyo Driskell. James was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren, and his face would light up with joy every time he spent time with them.

James is also survived by his siblings, Theresa Driskell, Leroy Driskell, and Audrey Driskell, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his family, James was known for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. He had a way of making everyone around him feel like family, and his infectious laughter and warm presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of James’ life will be held on November 30th, at Greater Harvest Ministries with services beginning at noon. Family and friends are invited to share memories and pay their respects.
