James E. White Sr., died at 10:37 p.m., Sunday, May 26th, from a long battle with heart complications in Washington, D.C.
James was born Feb. 18, 1936, in the Bronx, New York and was a lifelong area resident until moving to Washington, D.C. He worked as a constuction worker and a truck driver for many years, and also served in the U.S Military from from 1956 until 1964.
He is survived by his five daughters and two sons, Robin, Vicki, Tina, Kimberly, Gail, James and Christopher. His 8 grandchildren; James and Shana Davis, Monet and Shardaye White, Roderick White, Dabney Hunt, Chistopher and Joshua White who live in numerous places through out the U.S.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 30th, at John T. Rhines Funeral home E'loise G Waller will officiate. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be James White Jr, Christopher White, James Davis, Roderick White, Dabney Hunt and Christopher White Jr.
Friends may call at the John T. White Funeral Home, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
