James Erwin James K. Erwin, age 77, passed away December 8, 2016. He was born on April 16, 1939, in Akron, Ohio to the late Carl and Anna Erwin. He was involved with the Barberton YMCA, Akron Painter's Union, and enjoyed watching Barberton Senior League baseball.He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Erwin. Survived by his loving wife, Carol of 30 years; daughters, Kim Hackett (Keith) and Kris Blalock (Gary); three step-children, Laura, Dawn, and Will; grandchildren, Amanda and Alex Hackett, Aubrey Williams (Craig), and Adriane and Jon Blalock; brother, George M. Erwin (Paula); and numerous family and friends.The family would like to thank the staff and Therapy department at the Arbors of Fairlawn for their support and encouragement.Memorial Services will be held, Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 - 3 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's name to the .
