James F. Thiele RACINE – James Frederick Thiele, 84, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care- All Saints. Jim was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on August 9, 1930, the son of the late Antone Heinrich and Florence Helen (Stellberg) Thiele. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, receiving medals and commendations, including a Purple Heart. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, Jim earned an Associate Degree in ECT. He had been employed as an Electronic Tech and Tool & Die Maker with General Motors Corp for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1988. Jim is survived by three nephews, John Busacca of Noblesville, IN, Paul Busacca of Tampa, FL and Peter Busacca of Sammamish, WA. He is further survived by great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends and his neighbor family, including the Larrabee family, the Goebel family and the Sturino family. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marilyn F. Busacca and brother-in-law, Rev. Dr. Dwight Busacca. Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held on Monday, February, 9, 2015 from 5 until 7 pm and on Tuesday from 10 until service time at 11 a.m. Following services, Jim will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery with full military honors.
