DUNNELLON, FLORIDA — James Terry Graham, 76, of Dunnellon, Florida, formerly of Nevada Mills, Indiana, went peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father on Nov. 23, 2016. He was born on Oct. 7, 1940, to Albert J. "Daddy" and Genevieve M. (Terry) Graham. From a very early age, he began working on the family farm, where he developed a love for farming that he carried with him throughout his life. A 1959 graduate of Orland High School, Jim studied at Manchester College and International Business College. In 1963, he joined the U.S.
Army, where he was chosen for the U.S. Strike Command. He served his country proudly until 1966. On Feb. 4, 1967, he married Jeanne (Silcox) Graham at the Orland Congregational Church. In addition to working on the farm, Mr. Graham worked at the U.S. Postal Service for 38 years, retiring in 2005. He was also a substitute teacher and bus driver for Prairie Heights Community Schools and worked for Trine University as a security officer, retiring in 2010. In addition, he spent several years running a newspaper route for the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette where he became well loved by his many customers. Mr. Graham loved sports and coached Little League baseball for some time. He was a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox and Purdue basketball. He also loved golfing and won several championships in his golf league. Mr. and Mrs. Graham were the foster parents to 65 kids over many years. Mr. Graham is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jeanne Graham; two sons: Jeff Graham of Atlanta, Texas and Jason (Korina) Graham of Angola; three daughters: Rachael (Don) Pfefferkorn of Fremont, Laura (Eric) Hensel of Lapeer, Michigan, and Susie (Jon) Preston of Lapeer. He is also survived by a sister Janet Grabill of Angola, and a brother David Graham of Jupiter, Florida, in addition to several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Jeromy Graham in 2011, his parents, and a brother-in-law, Gordon Grabill. Services for Mr. Graham will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at Beams Funeral Home in Fremont, Indiana, with Pastor Craig Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, from 2-8 p.m., also with one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana.
