James Moody, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on October 2, 2024 in Athens, Georgia, United States. He was born on January 15, 1947 to James Harold Moody and Edna Marie Moody.

James is survived by his loving partner, Mary Johnstine Moody, their three children: Shawn Moody (spouse Pennae), Rodrick Moody (spouse Kenyah), and Regina Moody, as well as his seven grandchildren.

He attended Clarke Central High School and graduated in 1965 before continuing his education at the University of Georgia, where he graduated in 1970. James went on to have a successful career in Private Practice, retiring in 2020.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, James also served in the Army and had a passion for motorcycle riding. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and love for his family.

Rest in peace, James Moody. You will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts.

Funeral will be held at 11 am Saturday October 12th 2024 at Timothy Baptist Church Athens Georgia 30606
