Mr. James "Jamie" Allen Howell Jr., of Crumpler, died on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at his home. He was 43.

Mr. Howell was born on June 11, 1970, in Ashe County to James Allen Howell Sr. and Betty Campbell Howell.

Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his grandparents and one nephew, Jaxon Heath Miller.

Jamie loved being outside and spending time with his family.

Mr. Howell is survived by one son, Nathan Darrell Greer of Glendale Springs; his parents, James and Betty Campbell Howell of Crumpler; three sisters, Robin Shamel of King, Jeana Arroyo and Lisa Miller, both of Jefferson; and two nephews and one niece.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Everette Little. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
