James Sandheinrich Sr. James John Sandheinrich Sr., 76, of O'Fallon, Ill., born on Feb. 29, 1940 in Belleville, Ill., passed away, Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 in Shiloh, Ill. at Memorial East Hospital.James started at Reese construction in 1963 as a Superintendent and also worked at Freeburg Asphalt, where he was a co-owner. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force Reserves. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, being an avid Cardinals baseball fan, and was a big fan of The Indianapolis 500 Speedway Races. He really enjoyed spending time on outings with his buddies and family, and also spending time with his grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Sandheinrich; both of his parents; Hugo and Christine Sandheinrich, nee Theisman, his son, James Sandheinrich Jr.; his grandson, Justin Hildreth; and his brother in laws, Eugene Mueller, Jon Daubenspeck, and Robert Bauer.Surviving are his children; Jame't (Mike) Walsh, of Mascoutah, Ill., Chalice Sandheinrich, of Shiloh, Ill., Tony Sandheinrich, of O'Fallon, Ill., Michelle (Darren) Drake, of Idaho, and Christopher Sandheinrich of O'Fallon, Ill.; his grandchildren, Jeremy (Macaela) Conder, Jacob Mellenthin, Rachael Obernuefemann, Alixandra Sandheinrich, Payton Sandheinrich, and Johanna Sandheinrich; his siblings, Tom (Darlene) Sandheinrich, Shirley Mueller, Carol Daubenspeck, and Ann Bauer; special cousin, Bill Theisman; special friends, Tom and Maggie Duckworth and Wayne Trentman, and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and dear friends that will cherish his memory.In lieu of flowers, memorials are respectfully appreciated to Mr. Sandheinrich's grand children's education.
