James 'Jay' Collin Jackson, 72, of Pasadena, MD, passed away, Sunday November 27, 2016 at his home in Pasadena, Maryland. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:30PM, Thursday December 1st at Asbury United Methodist Church, 78 Church Rd, Arnold, Maryland. Pastor Jennifer Karsner will be officiating. James (known best as Jay) was born on November 5, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland to Andrew and Dorothy Jackson. He graduated from Severna Park High School in 1962. On August 27, 1966 he married the former Barbara Ellen Davidson. James and Barbara lived all 50 years of marriage together in Pasadena, MD. James was employed at The National Security Agency for 35 years. He also served in the Army Reserves as a tug boat captain for 20 years. In his retirement years, he worked part time at Compass Pointe Golf Course. James most enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed many outdoor activities including boating, fishing and crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay. James is survived by his wife Barbara, their two sons, Jason Scott Jackson and his wife Karen, David Matthew Jackson and his fiancée Ashley; and four beautiful grandchildren, Adam, Avery, Mattie and Emma Jackson. He is also survived by his sister in law Sandy Jackson and brother in law James Bosse. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Dorothy, and his brother Gary Jackson.
