AHERN - James Joseph, Jr., was born on August 6, 1954 in Huntington, NY to James Joseph, Sr. and Marion Jane Ahern. James entered into eternal rest on November 17, 2016, he was 62. Estate Manager with BDG Group, Syosset, NY he previously managed The Estate of the Phipps-Boegner Family of Old Westbury Gardens for 19 years. James received his MA in American History and a BA in History at SUNY at Stony Brook. Jim graduated Cum Laude and was a member of The Phi Beta Kappa Society as well as the Westbury Young Men's Recreation Club. He was avid golfer and enjoyed many sports & hobbies. Beloved brother of the late Tammy, Linda LoPrete, Debra Dellyse, Bill Ahern and his wife Barbara, Dan, Tom and Kevin. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Cremation was private and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family request donations to Jim's memory be made to The or Old Westbury Gardens.
