James (Mickey) Ryman age 47, a resident of Spring Valey, Illinois and formerly of Strasburg, left this world and entered into eternal peace on Wednesday December 5th, 2018 after losing a battle to lung cancer. 

A funeral service for James will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Friday, December 14th 2018 , at Stover Memorial Chapel with Sam Dimon officiating.

James was born in Warren County, VA on March 1st, 1971. the son of Freida and James Ryman.

James loved building derby cars and model tractor trailers. He loved to fish and hunt, and you could sometimes find him talking about aliens or seeing Bigfoot. James loved music and playing the guitar, some of his many favorite artist were The Beetles, The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel and anything classic rock. James loved life and his great smile will be one of the many things remembered by all he knew and loved.

James is preceded in death by his son, Dakota Ryman(15) and his wife Susan Ryman. Survivors include his parents, Freida and Sam Dimon of Middletown, Va, his children Contessa Ryman, Bailey Ryman, Dylan Davis, Trevor Davis, Cheyenne Lacey, and Robert Lacey; James and Janet Ryman of Stephens City and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Friday from 12 noon until the time of the service.
