Payne, James "Jimmy"James Norman Payne, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family May 12, 2016. Jim was born on February 18, 1942 to Norman and Sophie Payne. After attending Plymouth High School, Jim proudly served his Country in the
U.S. Navy from 1959-1963. On September 14, 1963 he married the love of his life and best friend "his Ginny" Virginia Miller, daughter of Eugene and Rose Miller. They had a wonderful marriage for 52 years and were blessed with three beautiful sons, the joys of his life, Timothy (Laura), Oceanside, CA; John (Cindy), Grafton; and David, Cedar Rapids, IA. In 1997, he was blessed with his only grandson, Jackson James, who he always considered a precious gift.Jim was a great Dad, spending many happy times with his sons leaving them with special memories. Jim and Ginny had a wonderful life together, not too often was one seen without the other. They were great Packers Fans and followed the team on several road trips. They took many vacations together to California and Iowa to visit their sons, making new friends along the way.Jim will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He was raised in Adell by his parents along with his four brothers. He is survived by his brother Jerry (Betty), Adell; Tom, Cedar Grove; and Phil, Little Elkhart Lake; a sister-in-law Marie Payne, Plymouth; and his loving nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Gilbert, two nephews, and a sister-in-law Jane Payne. In addition, Jim is survived by his brothers-in-law Michael Miller and Mike (Corrine) Mueller, Plymouth; sisters-in-law Carrie Roeder, Cedarburg; and Anna Vaughn, Eugene, OR; and all of Ginny's nieces and nephews. He had so much love for all of them. In addition to Ginny's parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Mel Roeder and Ron Vaughn, and a sister-in-law Susan Mueller. Jim was a sweet and selfless man who was loved by all who knew him. After working at the Kohler Company for 41 years, and retiring in 2004, Jim volunteered at Holy Name Church and was a wonderful son to his parents, visiting them weekly and helping them when needed.A celebration of Jim's life, with a Catholic Mass, will be held at St. Clements, 522 New York Avenue, in Sheboygan at Noon on May 20, 2016. A visitation with the family will start at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.It was Jim's wishes to extend a special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at Froedtert Hospital, whom he considered to be his special angels.
