James Steele, 84, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed on June 14, 2021. James was born on March 11, 1937. Passed away in his sleep around 2:30am on June 14, 2021. He is survived by the living children Steve, Deane, Debbie, Daniel, Chris Steele, and Sandy Steele Kepley. Ray also has 23 grand children, and 14 great grand children. He gave his life to his country, and to his family upon return from World War 2. Ray is now reunitied with his loving wife Mary James Steele in heaven, and is now at peace. Receiving of Friends will be held on June 15th from 6pm-8pm at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation. A celebration of life will be held on June 16th 11am at New Hanover Church in Wilmington, NC, followed by a grave side service at 12:30pm.
