ANDOVER-Uttinger, James "Dick" Richard, Sr. 93, passed away on Wednesdeay, May 18, 2016. Dick was born on November 16, 1922 in Lawrence, KS, the son of James and Bessie (Shaffer) Uttinger. James and Betty Uttinger were united in marriage. Dick served on the Navy Fletcher Class Destroyer in WWII (DD541), he had various occupations including State of Kansas Tax Inspector, Butler County Appraiser, Service Station Owner, Andover Chief of Police and owner of pet shop "Dick's Animal World". He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty. Survivors include his loving son, James (Carol Ann) Uttinger, Jr.; granddaughter, Jennifer (Jude) De Los Santos; great-granddaughter, Kate Elizabeth De Los Santos, all of Wichita. Visitation 6-8 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016; Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita.
