James "Robert" Rook, age 80, of Donaldson went to his heavenly home on Sunday, October 23, 2016. He was born on September 28, 1936, in Yell County, Arkansas the son of Everett and Stella Leach Rook. He was a Deacon and charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Malvern. For 34 years, he worked for Coca-Cola of Southwest Arkansas as an area manager. He also was employed at Ouachita Baptist University for 18 years and served as church music minister. He was a member of Pine Grove Hunting Club. Robert loved deer and turkey hunting, was a noodle fisherman and loved lawn mowing.Survivors include his wife, of 60 years, Eula Hughes Rook; son, Lynn Rook (Debbie) of Arkadelphia; daughters, Carol Wood (Kent) of Little Rock and Cindy Evans (Stony) of Bismarck; three grandsons, Chad Rook (Cassie) of Ruston, Louisiana, Jeremy Rook (Tosha) of Benton and Connor Wood of Little Rock; one granddaughter, Mandy Stephenson (Shane) of Arkadelphia; six great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Rylie, Brady, Cooper, Case and Millie Louise; brothers-in-law, Jason Hughes and Charles Hughes both of Donaldson and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his church family.Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26 from 5:00-8:00pm at Regency Funeral Home. Service will be Thursday, October 27 at 3:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Jim Owens and Brother Jerry George officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Stuckey, William Witcher, Bill Noman, Eddie Younger, Rick Harper and Todd McElroy. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Hulan, Leon Crow, Sam Richardson, Roy Morrison, John Bailey and Bill Norwood.
