Schlosser, James (Jim) Lutz passed away peacefully on Friday, November 13. Jim was born on December 5, 1921 in Chanute, Kansas. His parents, Earl and Lettie (Lutz) Schlosser, were the owners of the Schlosser Grocery in Chanute. Jim was a veteran of World War II and was most proud of his service to his country. Jim worked at Boeing Aircraft as a planning engineer for over thirty years and established himself there as a hard working loyal employee. Jim enjoyed fly fishing and hunting for quail and pheasant in his hometown of Chanute, Kansas. Jim is survived by his wife of seventy years and the love of his life, Glenna Marie (Williams). In addition, he has one daughter, Dr. Mary Dickerson (Kendall Leer) of Chevy Chase, Maryland, granddaughters Sarah Baxter (David) of Ellicott City, Maryland, Leah Dickerson of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a grandson, Lettie Dickerson (Amanda) of Schenectady, New York. He is also the proud great-grandfather of Chloe, Cody, and Hazel. Jim's brother, Earl F. Schlosser Jr., is also deceased. Jim was a founding member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Derby, Kansas, and joined the Episcopal Church with his wife Glenna early on in their marriage. In lieu of flowers, the family would request a donation to the Veterans Administration.
