Taunton, JamesTAUNTON, James P. (72) a resident of Montgomery, Alabama surrounded by loved ones he left this earth on March 11th 2017, to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. James was born on July 12th 1944 in Tallassee, AL. James was the son of the late Doston and Lottie Taunton of Tallassee. James was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lonnie and Curley Taunton and three sisters, Jackie Curry, Nita Pitchford and Patricia Taunton. James is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Brenda Colley Taunton, two sons, Phillip (Bobbi) and Chris (Christy) three grandsons (Matthew, Jamie and Gabriel) and two granddaughters (Hannah and Elizabeth), one brother, Dr. David (Myra) Taunton and one sister, Linda (Richard) Perry and many loving nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. A visitation is set for Saturday, March 18 at 1:00 pm with a Funeral service at 2:00 pm. The services will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Teman Knight officiating.
