James Hargrove, born on October 22, 1959, in Hartford, Connecticut, passed away on October 7, 2025, in Long Beach, California. He is survived by his 10 children: Justina with spouse Khaled, Jasmine, James, Jermaine, Jocelyn, Jade, Jelisa, Jessica, Julia, and Johnny, as well as 9 grandchildren.

James was a devoted member of his community, dedicating his time and energy to his organization Matter Not Us. He loved helping others and making a positive impact on the world around him.

Outside of his work, James enjoyed spending time with his large family, especially taking care of his kids and grandkids. He cherished every moment spent with them and created lasting memories that will be treasured forever.

James will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and infectious laughter. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
