Corbett, James Thomas, MD Dr. James Corbett passed away peacefully June 22 in Sedona, AZ. He was born on January 28, 1923 in Scottsville, Kentucky. During the Great Depression, he traveled with his family, including siblings Virginia, John and Patrick to Seattle, WA. He graduated from Seattle University, received his Medical Degree from St. Louis University, and post graduate degrees from Washington University (St Louis) and
Yale University. He married and completed additional training at the Institute of Living in Hartford, Connecticut, where his first two children were born. During the
Korean War he was an Army Captain, where he was awarded the
Bronze Star and
Purple Heart. In Seattle he practiced medicine for over 30 years and had two more children. In 1973 he married Wylene (Chris) Swerdfeger. After losing his hearing from Meniere's disease, he retired and moved to Sedona AZ. He enjoyed gardening, golf and traveling. He is survived by his wife Chris, and children Susan (Les), Suzanne (Bob), Joan (Ron), Jim (Jane), and Mary (Steve). Sign his on-line Guest Book at
