Mr. James Walter Griffin, 85, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 in the comfort of his Rock Hill home of 53 years. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. James, born on a farm in Monroe, NC, was the son of the late Ivan Griffin and Alice McManus Griffin, and he was the widower of Helen West Griffin, his beloved wife of 64 years. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wade Griffin and sister, Willeen Howell. James was the proud president and co-founder of B&G Heating and Air Conditioning in Rock Hill, SC - a family ran business established in 1976. He also was a member of the Rock Hill Elks Lodge #1318. James, who deeply loved and treasured his family above all else, is survived by his sister, Nadine Fowler of Monroe, NC; three sons, James Ronald Griffin and his wife, Linda; Richard Eugene Griffin and his wife, Melinda; and John David Griffin and his wife, Darlene; his six grandchildren, Nikki, Lori, Zachary, Brandon, Tyler, and Brittany; and his three great-grandchildren, Karli, Dawson, and Cooper.
