James Wiley Weaver, born on Aug. 28, 1936, to C.M. and Ethel Weaver in Big Spring, Texas, passed away on January 13, 2017, at Baylor Hospital in Carrollton, Texas.James is survived by his wife, Beatrice Weaver; daughter, Mary Braun; and son James Weaver; five grandchildren, Lauren, Will, Jake, Stormy, and Bodey; brother, Marcellous "Boosie" Weaver; sisters Ramona Harris, Sonia Lusk, and Mary Jane Weaver Phillips. James has many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He loved his family dearly. James is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Aubrey Weaver and R.H. Weaver; and sister Helen Chapman.James, like his father and three brothers, served in the U.S. Military. He was stationed in Germany. James owned The Transportation Center, a used car dealership, in Big Spring for decades. He was passionate about cars, animals, and the city of Big Spring. James was a man that was known to give the shirt off his back to help a friend in need. He will be dearly missed.Funeral service is Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Myers and Smith Funeral Home and Chapel at 301 East 24th Street, Big Spring, Texas. Burial at Weaver Cemetery, West Leatherwood Rd, Big Spring, Texas.
