James William ForsytheJan. 16, 1922 - Nov. 07, 2016MISHAWAKA - James William Forsythe, 94, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 7.James was born on January 16, 1922 in Gary, IN to Harry and Mae (Griffin) Forsythe. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Barry James Forsythe.On December 1, 1940 he married the former Ella Mae Owens. She survives along with their son, Craig William Forsythe of Mishawaka; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Forsythe of South Bend; three grandchildren, Jim (Debbie) Forsythe, Jeff (Dawn) Forsythe and Steven (Jennie) Forsythe all of St. Joseph County, IN; six great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.James was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a sales rep for Bassett Furniture for 42 years and retired at the age of 75. He was a member of Elks Lodge and enjoyed playing golf.Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 1 p.m., with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.
