James “JC” Carl Wilson, Jr., 93, of Mt. Ulla, passed away on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born on April 22, 1923 in Rowan County, to the late James Carl and Ruth Allison Wilson. JC was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army Air Corps. He was retired from J.V. Barger Construction and Godley construction. Mr. Wilson was a member of Prospect Presbyterian Church in Mooresville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Davis Wilson; sister, Louise Webb; brothers, Kenneth “Jim” and Cecil Wilson. He is survived by his sons, James “Jimi” Wilson III and wife, Cynthia, Ronnie Wilson and wife, Donna; sister, Emma Yates; grandchildren, Heather Bean, Stephanie Lansdell, James Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Sam Wilson, Sara Wilson; and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation and Service: A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 1, at Prospect Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Milholland officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
