James T. Woods1936 - 2016James T. Woods, 79, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. He was born on March 13, 1936, in Clarksdale, Miss, the son of the late Levy and Carrie (Flemmons) Woods. He was educated in the schools of Mississippi.James served in the U.S. Army from June 30, 1954 - July 3, 1957. He worked as a semi- truck-driver for many years. James enjoyed hunting and fishing.Survivors include his five children James T. Woods Jr., James T. Woods, Rochelle Woods, Reginald Woods, and Donavon (Sadie) Woods, three sisters, Mary Woods, Bae Minie Washinton, and Clara Mills' He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Levy Woods, Robert Woods, John L. Woods, and 3 other siblings, ten grandchildren LaKiawana, Khadejah, Akari, Donavon, Jalah, Amir, Jasir and Zyon Woods, Destyni and Taylor Vaughn, two great grandchildren Quincy Woods and Gabrielle McKinstry, cousin and life long friend John D. Stanley.Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, from 11 a.m. -12 noon at Kenosha Funeral Services with a funeral service to follow at 12 noon.
