Jane Doolittle, of Fairmont, WV, passed away in Morgantown after heart complications. Jane spent her childhood and young adult life in Fairview before marrying her late husband Ken and moving to Fairmont. She lived in Fairmont for 40 years, growing close to the community and her neighbors along the way. She survived her husband by 11 years before succumbing to a sudden stroke the night of September 23. She passed away in peace with her daughter and grandchildren near her side. Jane is survived by her daughters Traci Doolittle, Terri Burton, and Tammi Lippincott. She also is survived by 4 grandchildren, including Morgan, Ian, and Kara, the children of Traci, along with Kyla, Tammi’s daughter.
Jane was 78 years old. She worked as a seamstress in her young adulthood before becoming a full time stay at home mom. Jane loved cooking for her family and friends and found solace in helping others. She is remembered by her loved ones as a stronghold in their lives. Jane was a lifelong sports fan and supporter of the West Virginia mountaineers. She passed away in peace and without pain at Ruby Memorial Hospital with loved ones at her side. The family held a private ceremony in honor of Jane. They ask for prayers of love and compassion in this difficult time. Flowers can be mailed to 501 State Street in Fairmont. The family asks that donations be contributed to the Alzheimer’s association in place of monetary contributions.
