Flisakowski, Jane Genevieve "Tootie"Jane G. Flisakowski, age 90, of Junction City, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, August 10, 2017. She had been ill for some time with heart failure. She was born on January 17, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Michael and Pearl (Pelot) Catlin. She attended the Dancy elementary school and the Little Blue Schoolhouse in Mosinee. On June 20, 1945, she married Elmer Flisakowski at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Junction City. During their 52 years of marriage, they had 10 children. They are: Sue Ann Hansen, Dennis Fliss, Val Moser, Michele Wong, Cindy (Ron) Roth, Jeffrey (Barb) Flisakowski, Gayle (Barry) Richardson, Mike (Jenny) Flisakowski, Laura (David) Serafin, and Shawn Flisakowski. In addition, she is survived by 21 grandchildren and step grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. The grandchildren are Kevin Fliss, Keith Fliss, Jason Moser, Jessica Marlin, Melisa Field, Thad Wong, Steven Wong, Rhonda Griffin, Brad Roth, Brenda Roth, Jennifer Cisewski, Jeffrey Flisakowski Jr., Josh Richardson, Cassie Stillman, Eric Richardson, Alison (Ally) Matke, Sami Woyak, Deidre Lueneburg, Alicia Serafin, and Zach Serafin.After her marriage to Elmer, they lived in the Junction City area and farmed for many years. After retiring from the farm, Jane worked at Herschner's and on the cranberry marsh. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, her younger sister Joan Skibba and her older sister Edna Catlin, who passed away as a young child. Jane was an avid Packer fan. She enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, travel, and her family. She was famous for her coffee and pinwheel cake, which she made as a birthday treat for all her children and grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Junction City, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 am until service time. Reverend John Ofori-Domah will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Martens/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.Condolences may be sent online to
