Jane HaughtMT. GILEAD: Jane Haught, age 89, passed away July 27, 2016 at Woodside Village in Mt. Gilead, OH. She was born on October 14, 1926 in Athens county, Ohio, the daughter of William Stanley and Ivalou (Beekman) Ryan. Jane was a 1946 graduate of the
Ohio State University. A long time resident of Stockport, OH, she lived her later years in Zanesville, OH and then in Cardington, OH after being widowed. She was a County Home Extension Agent, Elementary and Substitute School
Teacher, wife and homemaker. A faithful Christian, Jane was a member of the Norval Park Church of Christ. Jane was a lover of people and God's nature. Jane generously gave of her time and money for charitable causes. She avidly studied birds and nature. She was, most of all, proud of her family and grandchildren. She closely followed and was known to brag a little bit on her grandchildren's accomplishments in academics, athletics, music and theater. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Paul Haught and sisters Helen Shingler and Betty Gilkey. She is survived by her children; Paula (James) Robbins, Deborah (Jeffrey) Parsons, Michael (Marianne) Haught and James Haught; Grandchildren, Kaleigh and Gwendolyn Robbins, Jacob and Lily Parsons, Katherine and Jared Haught; Brothers William (Gladene) Ryan, Robert Ryan and Patrick Ryan.
