Jane Lee Bruce Gray, a beloved resident of Como, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas. She was born to Ava Neil Bruce and James Miles Bruce on December 25, 1935.
Jane was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and dear friend to many. Her kind heart and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Jane's legacy of love and compassion will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
Survivors include her children, Donnie Lee Gray of Washington and Terry Ray Gray and Gina Stout and her husband, Willis, all of Lumberton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John Gray of Washington, Damon Gray of Chicago, Jessica Gray, Justin Gray, and Daaron Simmons, all of Lumberton, Di Di Simmons of Kountze, Don McCray and his wife, Chelsey Guidry and Dustin McCray, all of Nederland, and Trey Venable of Lumberton. Her great-grandchildren, Natasha Gray of Washington, Trayce Gray of Lumberton, J'Da Tanton, A'Dyn Walton, D'Yeon Pitre, and T'Yera Pitre, all of Kountze, D.J. McCray of Nederland, Jake Gray, Demi Jane, and Colt Gray, all of Lumberton, and Riley Mae Gray, as well as her great-great-grandchild, Kaydence, will carry on her memory with love and admiration. Jane is also survived by her sister, Carol Schrone, and her husband, Joe, of Tennessee.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Donald Gray, and her siblings.
A private funeral service will be held to honor Jane's life. A gathering of Mrs. Gray's family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her Memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Broussard's, followed by her interment at Hooks Cemetery, Kountze.
Jane Lee Bruce Gray will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her unwavering love, kindness, and grace. May she rest in eternal peace.
