Janet Bostwick Perkins1944-2017Janet B. Perkins, 73, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017.She was born on September 14, 1944 in New Orleans, LA to the late Daniel S. Bostwick and Sarah Brewton Bostwick. Janet worked and retired with the U. S. Dept. of Civil Service. She enjoyed her monthly luncheons with the Ladies Federal Civil Service Retirees group and her casino trips with her longtime best friend Jeanne Williams. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall Perkins (7/27/2016); and son, Dwayne Perkins (7/12/1984).Janet is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Bruce) Cotton; two grandchildren, Curtis (Kaiti) and Morgan Cotton; two great grandchildren, Bryson and Paisley; three brothers, Dan (Debbie), Rodney (Karen) and Darrell (Vanessa) Bostwick; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her private sitter, LaShanda Bryant, for all the love and care she showed to Janet. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Covenant Hospice Care @ Sacred Heart for the kindness they showed to Janet and her family.Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Pastor Allen Cotton officiating. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. prior to services. Committal service will be held at 12noon on Monday, October 30, 2017 in Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, FL.
