Guernsey, Janice L.Janice L. Guernsey, age 73 of Hortonville, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Janice was born on July 1, 1943, in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, daughter of Francis Carl and Helen (Hartjes) Mertens. She married Ronald Dorschner and he preceded her in death. Janice then married Irvin "Skip" Guernsey. Janice enjoyed working on the family hobby farm, spending time with her grandchildren taking them camping, and gardening. She spent her life raising horses and loved horses so much.Janice is survived by her husband, Irvin "Skip" Guernsey; mother, Helen Mertens; son, Jeff (Lisa) Dorschner; grandchildren, Raine, Kayla, Ashanti, Ezra, Katie and Erin Dorschner and Niki (Tim) Eickholt; great-grandson, Anthony Miller III and sister-in-law, Janet (Mike) Arndt. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.Janice is preceded in death by her father, Francis Carl; husband Ronald Dorschner; son, Mark Dorschner; infant daughter, René Dorschner; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Ida Guernsey and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Beatrice and Irving Guernsey.The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church (105 N. Olk St.) Hortonville. Msgn James Feely and Parish Director Greg Layton will be officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit directly at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
