Janice Louise Short of Hale, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, age 58 years. Janice was born on Jan. 8, 1955 in Alpena. She will be truly missed by her beloved husband, Robert L. Short, to whom she married at their home on Aug. 4, 1990; her mother; five loving children and their spouses; several grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; her faithful canine companion, Max; and many special friends. Janice was preceded in death by her father; and one brother. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life service will take place at a later date to be announced by her family.
