Ms. Jannie L. Heard Broome was born September 9, 1955, in Camp Hill, AL to Odell Heard and the late Jimmie L.Heard. She went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 11, 2017. Jannie confessed Christ very young uniting with New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church & later united with Mt. Lovely Baptist Church. She graduated from Camp Hill High School and went on to attend Alabama A&M Normal, Alabama and Alex City Community College in Alexander City, Alabama. 

 

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: a Daughter Janeisha L. Broome of Camp Hill, AL; a Son Juan T.(Sharon)Heard of Salem, AL. Her Mother Odell Heard of Camp Hill, AL. Six Sisters: Annie(Fred)Willis, Dr. Shirley J. Heard, Sallie K.Heard of Camp Hill, AL. Dorothy F. Heard (Birmingham, AL), Carolyn (Kenneth) Evans (Opelika, AL), and Nellie (Andre)Bickerstaff(Montgomery, AL). One Brother: Haki Muhammad (Birmingham, AL). Eight Grandchildren: Ezekiel Heard of Camp Hill,AL, Adreana Heard of Huntsville, AL, Quentrel Heard of Troy, AL, Jordan Pitts of Tallahassee, FL, Jermichael Morgan of Salem, AL, Jazlyn Coleman of Camp Hill, AL, Javian Heard of Salem, AL, and Ja'Yona Broome of Camp Hill, AL. Three Great Grandchildren: Javion Heard, Elijah Heard, and Kennedi Heard. Two Aunts: Mary(Frankie)Evans, and Jannie(William)Black of Camp Hill, AL. Two Uncles: Willie Joe Spence, and Felton Spence of Camp Hill, AL. A host of nieces, a nephew, cousins, and friends. Two special cousins: Phyllis McCowan of Camp Hill, AL and Rogers Pitts of Orlando, FL.
